World's Scariest Foods
A signature dish from the Outback Steakhouse restaurant chain, this platter of frîtes is topped with bacon bits, Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses and served with a spicy ranch dressing. Named in the recent book Eat This, Not That (Rodale Books) as the worst food in America, the dish has 2,900 calories, 182 grams of fat and 240 grams of carbohydrates. "Even if you split these 'starters' with three friends," author David Zinczenko writes, "you'll have downed a dinner's worth of calories before your entree arrives."
