“I was originally stumped when working on this project, so I decided to get my mind off the project by cleaning out my bathroom cupboard. As I was digging through all of the old vitamins, prescription drugs and home remedies, it hit me. I was thinking about the number of supplements that are taken now versus how many were likely taken 35 years ago. Given the teetering state of agriculture, unless serious change happens, it does seem like we are going to have to rely more and more on nutrients in pill form rather than through our food.”
