Italy's Angelo Gaja has received so much acclaim that one might assume the hype about his wines exceeds the quality. It doesn't, especially with his basic—if that's the right word, given the triple-digit price—Barbaresco. Fragrant raspberry notes and incredible poise are the hallmarks here.
