Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous, Memphis

A barbecue mecca in an alley basement decorated with Memphis memorabilia, Rendezvous is the best in town for ribs. In 1948, Charlie Vergos started the tradition of serving dry-rubbed charcoal-broiled ribs basted with vinegar after discovering a coal shoot in his restaurant’s basement that allowed him to vent the space.
