Best New Places to Drink Wine

Slide 11 of 24

4.0 Cellars, Fredericksburg, TX

Three fantastic Texas wineries—Lost Oak Winery, Brennan Vineyards and McPherson Cellars—have opened this modern collective tasting room on five acres in the middle of Hill Country. Each winery pours five rotating bottles at any given time, and visitors can take their glasses outside to the long porch or under an enormous tree. Insider’s Tip: At 4.0 Cellars’ tasting room in Fredericksburg, Texas, there’s live music every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday night. Local blues and rock musicians play, many making the 70-mile trip from Austin. On Thursday nights, the winemakers discount all wine bottles by 10 percent. 10354 E. US Hwy. 290;
