This 80,000 square-foot "lifestyle complex" in Ginza houses both the Giorgio Armani and Emporio Armani boutiques, a nightlife lounge called Armani/Prive and the two-floor Italian restaurant Armani/Ristorante. Belying the ritzy setting of lacquered tables and panel screens brushed in gold, the food, which ranges from homemade orecchiette to beetroot-marinated fish carpaccio, from one-time White House chef Enrico Derflingher, is much like Armani clothing: classic, simple Italian.
