Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani has an equally fashionable sister named Carla. Credit her with opening this 27,000-square-foot institution, which stocks magazine-ready clothing and accessories from some of the biggest names in fashion including Stella McCartney and Jason Wu. There's also a three-room hotel, a roof garden, a bookstore and an art gallery, which recently hosted World Press Photo 2013, a photojournalism contest. The signature restaurant is mostly Italian, with an occasional dish of far-flung origins, like a crowd-pleasing Tandoori chicken or the sushi-inspired ginger-and-wasabi-marinated seared tuna.
