Bemelmans exudes old-school New York at its finest, with white jacket-clad waiters serving exquisite Champagne cocktails in a golden room with famous murals by children’s book author, Madeline creator and former hotel resident Ludwig Bemelmans. At the Cafe Carlyle next door, the Woody Allen plays the clarinet on Monday nights with his New Orleans jazz band.
