Healdsburg, CA: Healdsburg Bar & Grill

During a trip to California wine country, Ray Isle, F&W’s Executive Wine Editor, found one of his favorite burgers in the country here. For his terrific HGBBurger, star chef Douglas Keane uses a 70-30 lean-to-fat ratio in his fresh-ground Meyer Natural Angus beef patty. The juicy burger is served in a toasted Costeaux Bakery sourdough bun with Alexander Valley Gourmet pickles and roasted garlic mayonnaise on the side. Isle strongly suggests topping the burger with bacon for $1.75.
