Pasadena City College Flea Market, Pasadena, CA

Equipped with flashlights, veteran buyers hit this flea market in a Pasadena City College parking garage starting at 4 A.M. Held the first Sunday of every month, the market adheres to a “no tube socks here” policy, meaning that vendors are prohibited from selling new and mass-produced items. Instead, you’ll find vintage Pyrex, Fiestaware and myriad utensils featuring Bakelite (synthetic resin), along with lots of midcentury Danish furniture and a fantastic collection of vinyl. Recently, a shopper reported finding a first pressing of Elvis’s “Jailhouse Rock.” pasadena.edu/fleamarket
