Located in downtown near the Wheeler Opera House, this Mediterranean-infused eatery is a joint venture from husband and wife Samantha and Craig Cordts-Pearce. The Wild Fig’s cuisine is a melding of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fare, showcasing dishes from France, Spain, Italy, and Greece. Popular offerings include veal loin scaloppine with garlic spinach and fish in a bag, in which the fish of the day is cooked in a paper bag with cherry tomatoes, zucchini, and mushrooms. The intimate space has only 50 seats, and the white tile, marble, and leather accents add to the Mediterranean feel.
