Set on the bank of the Thames, this renowned French restaurant is the only establishment in the United Kingdom to hold three Michelin stars for more than 25 years. Originally opened in 1972 by Michel and Albert Roux, the Waterside Inn is now operated by Michel’s son Alain. In addition to the dining room, which contains green-silk banquettes and large picture windows overlooking the river, the inn also includes a waterfront terrace and 11 overnight guest rooms. The menus change seasonally, with possible dishes including pan-fried lobster medallions with white port sauce, and roasted Challandais duck with spiced damson jus.
