Wann Japanese Izakaya
Wann's sleek, cream-and-chocolate-brown izakaya tavern attracts tourists, as well as an after-five crowd of downtown Seattle's creative-class salary-men and -women. Small dish apps like agedashi eggplant, garlic rock shrimp, and Japanese pickles, whet the appetite for more substantial fare like sushi, tempura, and grilled delicacies, such as Kurobuta (black hog) sausage served with whole-grain mustard, and whole capelin grilled with roe. Japanese craft shochu, awamori, and Kissui vodka are offered alongside traditional izakaya cocktails, Washington state wine, Japanese beer, and sake.
