Chef-author Christine Manfield is no newbie to the Sydney food scene; she once owned former Sydney restaurant Paramount and returned to Oz after a stint in London, opening Universal in 2007. The menu and wine list defy categorization, reflecting the influence of Manfield’s travels. The restaurant's dimly lit interior glows in red, orange, and yellow, and outdoor seating is available. Entrées come with suggested wine pairings, like the seared sea scallops with edamame and wasabi avocado, accompanied by a Wenzel Furmint. Lunch is Friday only, and a three-, four-, or five-course tasting menu is offered for large groups.
