Occupying a scenic, 16-acre estate in St. Helena, Brix is a combination restaurant, wine shop, and vegetable garden owned by the Kelleher family. The dining room has the look and feel of an upscale lodge, and its design incorporates slate walls, a wood-beamed ceiling, and an outdoor patio with mountain views. The surrounding estate gardens supply most of the produce—for example, fresh fava beans in the spring—for the kitchen. Executive chef Chris Jones is known for signatures like the house-made duck prosciutto and a beef rib-eye with bone marrow butter and truffle mac and cheese.
