Tomales Bay Oyster Company
Set directly on the shore of Tomales Bay, this oyster farm is located just 10 miles north of Point Reyes Station. Established in 1909, the company harvests fresh oysters, clams, and mussels from the adjacent bay and sells them by the pound in a small clapboard shack. To the side of the building is a picnic area with wooden tables and grills, where patrons can shuck and cook their purchases immediately. In addition to the seafood, the farm also sells shucking knives, charcoal, fresh lemons and limes, and various hot sauces. The picnic area has a BYO policy, as well.
