Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen
Chef-owner Susanna Foo, who closed her high-profile, namesake fine-dining restaurant in Center City after a 22-year-run, serves her no-boundaries Chinese food at this upscale-casual spot on the Main Line. The restaurant's core cuisine is traditional Chinese, though dishes like pad Thai, Vietnamese shaking beef, and sushi are also on the menu. Entrees hail from across the Chinese provinces, such as kung pao chicken (from Sichuan), and a short rib simmered in rock sugar and star anise, which is served Wuxi-style (a city in Jiangsu). The restaurant's interior is a contrast of beige and vanilla tones set against scarlet walls and lacquered wood.
