The Breakwater Inn’s signature restaurant, named for striped bass, specializes in local Atlantic seafood, and offers views of the Atlantic Ocean and Kennebunk River. Signature dishes include lobster sausage with house-cured sauerkraut and roasted shallot mustard and the equivalent of lobster poutine, made with local lobster meat, Pineland Farms cheese curds, and gravy. A whole menu section honors specialties from the Gulf of Maine like saltwater poached lobster served with drawn butter. The Sunset Lounge houses an aquarium and full bar that serves a limited food menu and cocktails like the Wooden Nail, a Manhattan derivative that incorporates Drambuie and cinnamon.
