Located next to the Danks Street Fratelli Fresh store, Café Sopra serves Mediterranean and Italian cuisine crafted by chef Andy Bunn. Bunn sources many of his own ingredients from the neighboring Fratelli Fresh and skillfully uses fresh produce in such dishes as shredded Savoy cabbage tossed in balsamic vinegar, parmigiano reggiano, and a lemon vinaigrette. The menu is written on a blackboard, and diners often wait in long lines to sample the café’s offerings. The restaurant’s no-frills atmosphere may seem at odds with its sophisticated cuisine, but it adds to its charm.
