Middle Eastern flavors are the focus of this West Cambridge bakery and café, which specializes in pastries and mezze, or savory small plates. Sofra also sells stuffed flatbreads, shawarma wraps, and several breakfast items including olive oil granola and spiced Persian donuts. Pastries and the mezze bar line the counter, so it’s customary to use a choose-and-point method of ordering and then carry food over to the pillow-lined bench seats and low copper-plated tables. Mezze favorites like beet tzatziki and Moroccan carrot salad are also available in to-go containers in the deli case.
