LA’s Millenium Biltmore Hotel is home to this swank sushi bar and Asian fusion restaurant. More minimalist (and Zen) than its opulent surroundings, Sai Sai features clean lines and blonde woods against stark black accents. Elegant Japanese-attired staff and Sai Sai’s emphasis on presentation lend an authentic feel to this downtown-LA fixture. Chef Jon Shin, formerly of Nobu, applies his talents to innovative sushi and sashimi combinations. The restaurant’s signature bento boxes are the stand-outs, though, each featuring an entrée, soup, and salad in creative presentation.
