Rio Mar, “where the river meets the sea,” is the restaurant of award-winning chef Adolfo Garcia, who fuses his Spanish and Latin American roots into a seafood-based menu. Specialties include yellow fin tuna steak in Serrano ham, the zarzuela seafood-saffron stew (the name refers to a Spanish music genre), and signature ceviche—a popular South American dish of citrus-marinated raw fish. Tapas rule the lunch hour. To drink, the restaurant offers more than 40 Spanish wines. Though Rio Mar does not have a dress code, its location near the convention center in the Warehouse District brings in many well-dressed businesspersons.
