Dishing up what many consider the best Italian fare in Las Vegas, Rao’s at Caesars Palace is a more accessible offshoot of the New York original, which has occupied the same spot on 114 Street since 1896 and is known for being a tough place to get reservations. This edition of Rao's features dark-stained walls covered with photos of famous patrons and two 10-table dining rooms that recall the snugness of the New York location (a larger "feast room" pushes the overall capacity to 200). Signature dishes include handmade meatballs in rich tomato sauce, braised veal over saffron risotto, and ravioli pillows stuffed with ricotta and pear. Tables that overlook the hotel's gorgeous poolside are also available.
Congratulations to Mei Lin, winner of Top Chef Season 12.
