An homage to classic New York butcher shops, Quality Meats serves prime beef from two locally renowned butchers—Milton Abeles and Strassburger Meats. Even the two-level interior, furnished by the award-winning Avroko design group, evokes a butcher shop theme with solid walnut planks, a staircase of butcher block wood, and chandeliers made with steel meat hooks. The menu includes signatures like the 64-ounce double rib steak for two served with homemade steak sauce—prepared tableside with a mortar and pestle—and unexpected sides like corn crème brûlée. The 350-option wine list and handmade ice cream receive high marks, as well.
