Opened in December 2006, PORTOfino is rapidly becoming the Florentines’ favorite seafood restaurant. Although it’s 10 minutes by cab from the city center, the ride is well worth it. The stylish, 40-seat dining room has whitewashed wood floorboards and tables draped in ecru cloths, and the ultrafresh fish comes from Liguria or Livorno each day. Ask the waiter to recommend the day’s best catch.
