Pontus Frithiof has put his name on several Stockholm restaurants (elegant Pontus in the Greenhouse, which closed last year; and his harborside bistro, <strong>Pontus by the Sea</strong>, still going strong). Now there's also the huge, exuberant Pontus!, close to nightlife center Stureplan and with a fittingly fantastical design scheme featuring faux-library-shelf wallpaper. The menu shows equal devotion to fresh seafood, gorgeous vegetables and other terrific seasonal ingredients, with separate menus focusing on each category.
We loved: Muscat pumpkin with king crab.
Insider tip: The cocktail bar serves dim sum and sushi.
