Picholine
Just half a mile from Lincoln Center, this Michelin two-starred restaurant is a popular choice for special occasions and pre-theatre dinners. Established by chef-owner Terrance Brennan, Picholine is known for introducing the European-style cheese course to New York with what food critic Gael Greene called the “Tiffany of cheese carts.” The restaurant also has a temperature-controlled “cheese cave,” a 2,500-bottle wine cellar, and a main dining room decorated with crystal chandeliers and gray mohair banquettes. The French-Mediterranean menu includes such signature dishes as sea urchin panna cotta with caviar, and organic chicken Kiev with liquid foie gras and wild mushrooms.
