Once known for its hearty “country” food, this Newtown restaurant is now dedicated to organic fare; Dr. Robert Warlow brought about the changes when he became owner. Provincial European dishes for the diner seeking gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options are all available, and much care is taken in preparation, including the use of purified water and “green” cleaning products. The narrow, rustic interior offers tightly arranged tables with red table cloths. With core values that include providing the healthiest, most nutritional meals possible, Peasants Feast serves items like free-range duck, chemical-free seafood, and organic beverages.
