Housed in an early-20th-century brick building, Parkway Grill serves a dressed-up menu of American cuisine in two dining rooms of soft lighting and live piano music. Entrees such as the Alaskan halibut dusted with bee pollen and the prime New York steak with a pinot noir and veal reduction exemplify the kitchen's approach to slipping in unexpected ingredients, many of them sourced from an on-site herb and produce garden. Weathered brick walls, high ceilings, and an exposed brick oven add texture to the elegant place, as does the massive oak bar, a 1920's original transported from Chicago.
