The always-changing menu at Pane e Vino ranges from silky pecorino flan to lamb served with eggplant puree, but the biggest draw is the preset wine-and-food tasting menus (the all-fish one is outstanding). The wine list is encyclopedic and includes prized vintages such as the 2001 Vigna S. Urbano Barthenau from Hofstätter, one of Italy's best Pinot Noirs.

We loved: Fish ravioli; roasted guinea fowl.
