When this much-anticipated <em>osteria</em> opened, it replaced adjoining Pizzeria Mozza as the hottest reservation in town. Star baker-chef Nancy Silverton is usually found behind the mozzarella bar, serving customers on the dozen stools surrounding her. Chef Matt Molina expertly prepares the rest of the brash Italian-country menu.
We loved: Ricotta-and-egg in brown butter; whole fish wrapped in grape leaves.
