Fabulous buffet breakfasts at Opera are one of the biggest perks of a stay at the Park Hyatt. Don’t let the term “buffet” put you off: everything is impeccably fresh and well presented, and eggs, omelettes, waffles, and pancakes are all prepared to order. Local Vietnamese, who favor a more savory breakfast, enjoy the kitchen’s very good pho bo (beef noodle soup) and bo kho (beef stew). Highest marks go to the tantalizing fruit display, overflowing with juicy mango, papaya, pitaya (dragon fruit), and soursop, and to the top-notch espresso drinks.
Insider Tip: If it’s cool enough, take a table outside under the jasmine trees on the terrace overlooking Lam Son Square.
