Located in the Mirage Las Vegas, Onda Ristorante welcomes guests into a front lounge adjacent to the hotel casino. There, beneath an arched stained-glass ceiling, patrons can enjoy Italian wine paired with small plates or all-you-can-eat mussels, available Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. For a more formal dining experience, diners continue past the lounge to the main dining area, outfitted with white tablecloths and vibrant bouquets, to savor classic Italian dishes such as osso bucco, a Milanese specialty of braised veal shank with vegetables, white wine, and broth.

The glamorous Isetan department store’s depachika (basement food-floor) recently underwent a massive renovation, resulting in a gorgeous new array of food stands, chef’s counters and covetable ingredients. In addition to new outposts from celebrity chef Alain Ducasse and deluxe French cheese shop Marie-Anne Cantin, the floor now houses Omotenashi BAR, which serves nihonshu (the Japanese word for what Americans call sake) paired with small plates. The menu changes frequently and showcases dishes inspired by renowned Japanese restaurants.
