Don’t be dismayed by the crowds of locals jostling for space at this many-windowed Old Montreal café during lunch hour. You’ll usually find a seat in no time at all—and if not, it’s still worth the wait for fresh soups (red lentil with coconut milk), warm panini (goat cheese with caramelized onions and homemade ketchup), cheese croissants, and coffee from some of the city’s best baristas.
