Nettie’s Crab Shack
After working up an appetite wandering around the Marina neighborhood of San Francisco, tourists may end up at the New England-inspired Nettie's Crab Shack. While the atmosphere may be casual with an open air patio, butcher paper-covered picnic tables and plastic bibs, Nettie's is serious about their fish. Accountant-turned-chef Brian Leitner brings his knowledge of organic agriculture and sustainability and Chez Panisse experience to the kitchen. Chowder, lobster rolls, steamers and grilled whole fish arrive at tables along with beer and wines, and locals are attracted to the Sunday Dungeness crab feed.
