Moby Dick House of Kabob

1070 31st St. NW
Washington , DC , United States http://www.mobysonline.com/
(202) 333-4400

A local institution, the Moby Dick House of Kabob was founded by an Iranian restauranteur in 1989 but has now expanded to 15 locations throughout the metro area. Although the Georgetown location can definitely be classified as hole in the wall (a red awning covers the weathered brick façade), District diners flock here for the authentic Iranian and Middle Eastern food. Not surprisingly, the menu consists primarily of kabobs, available in chicken, beef, fish, or lamb. Authentic side items are also available, including seer torshi, garlic cloves marinated in vinegar.
