Meritage
Just a few blocks from Rittenhouse Square, this neighborhood eatery serves New American dishes that are both inventive and affordable. The 55-seat dining room contains hardwood floors, light yellow walls, and tilted mirrors, and additional seating is available outside on a small patio. Incorporating French and Asian influences, the menu is divided into sharable snacks, such as pan-fried pork and chive dumplings; small plates like braised lamb belly with creamy polenta; and a handful of entrées, such as roasted Amish chicken with chestnut purée. The international wine list includes 50 bottles under $50, and tasting flights are available.
