The Living Room

<p>True to its name, this restaurant has been staked out by such a regular crowd of well-dressed European expats that it practically serves as their private club. Charming French owner Daniel Vanneque offers his guests an eclectic menu of French/Asian dishes; frog legs served in white-wine sauce with green papaya salad are a favorite choice. A frangipani-filled garden for outdoor dining sparkles with thousands of fairy lights and votive candles; inside, the plantation-style main dining room with vaulted ceilings, terracotta floors, antique marble tables, and carved chairs sets the scene for the over-the top floral displays. The backroom bar area and glassed-in wine cellar is where the Euros hold court until the wee hours.</p> <p><strong>Tip:</strong> The Living Room is a great place for watching occasional visiting celebrities. </p>
