The 146 year-old property once had guest rooms, a grocery, a café, and a gas sation bt now is a café-bistro only. Have some of the on-the-house sangria-like aperitif of red wine from the village cooperative, apple juice, and crème de cassis. Chef Magali Charousset mounds vol-au-vents with crayfish, splashes trout with walnut vinegar, uses only beef cheeks in her daube, sweetens succulent quail with prunes and raisins then flames it with cognac, and roasts peaches in red wine.
