Located in the heart of the City, L’Anima is one of area’s most popular Italian restaurants for bankers and businesses suits. The clean dining space, with travertine floor and white tables with white leather seats, is separated from the street by a glass expanse (the entrance can be tricky to find). On the other side, kitchen staff is visible through small windows in the brown porphyry wall. Chef (and native Calabrian) Francesco Mazzei's cuisine offers a twist on classic dishes from Calabria, Puglia, Sicily, and Sardinia with a touch of Mediterranean influences. Menu options include fish stew with Sardinian fregola, slow-roasted black pig belly with n’cantarata sauce (honey, paprika, and spices), and rabbit Siciliana.
