Laloux is a Parisian-style bistro in the Plateau neighborhood that offers all of its wines by the glass. The chefs use certified-sustainable seafood and seasonal produce to create menus that change daily. Main courses could be Nova Scotia trout with green apples and fennel, or beef prime rib with a rutabaga mash. Desserts range from poached pears to chocolate pôt de crème. The corner restaurant's green-framed mirrors and white linens contrasting with black trim and dark wooden floors give the restaurant an understated elegance. In summer, there's outdoor seating on the terrace.
