La Petite Grocery
This rustic bistro celebrates its storied Garden District location — a landmark dry goods shop — with 70-year’s-worth of worth of black and white photos. Since taking the helm in 2006, chef Justin Devillier has maintained a focus on traditional N’awlins cuisine with modern tweaks: local shrimp and grits with shiitake mushrooms and smoked bacon, blue crab beignets, and root beer-braised short ribs with house-made pickles. Locally sourced produce, meat, and seafood are used throughout the menu, and pastas are made in-house.
