With communal farmhouse tables, large mirrors tilted downward from the ceiling, and rustic design materials like wood, leather, and tile, this restaurant in the Westside Urban Market reflects its proprietor's belief that simplicity is a hallmark of the best food. Chef Scott Peacock, educated at the New England Culinary Institute, is proponent of the farm-to-table concept and uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft Southern family favorites like shrimp and grits, chicken and dumplings, and grilled Georgia trout. Served with hearty sides of green beans and macaroni and cheese, JCT’s signature pan-fried chicken has been one of Atlanta's most buzz-worthy dishes since the restaurant's 2007 debut.
