Jack's Luxury Oyster Bar in the East Village gives a nod to New England with its knotty-pine bar, red and white checked walls, seascape paintings, and antique cupboard. Jack's is a premier destination for a meal of fresh Salt Pond oysters from Rhode Island and the slightly brinier Kumamotos oysters, all served with both savory and vinegar sauces. Some delicious dishes from the chef's six course tasting menu include the clams with chorizo (clams, chorizo rounds, white beans, and broth served with crusty white bread) and Arctic Char confit (crisp skin served over fennel and orange gremolata.)
