Il Terrazzo Ristorante
Known for its homemade pastas and pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, Il Terrazzo Ristorante is located in an out-of-the-way alley behind the province's oldest bakery, Willie’s. Classically romantic, the restaurant has exposed brick and candlelight, plus six private fireplaces on the covered terrace. Some dishes draw on local ingredients like Sooke trout and west coast halibut, while others make deft pairings like the venison with sour cherries or buffalo short ribs with juniper berries. There are 17 wines available by the glass drawn from the 1,000-bottle selection, and the flourless chocolate-orange cake is a favorite for dessert.
