Hyde Away Inn & Restaurant
Originally dedicated to Ull, the Norse god of skiing, this former lodge in Vermont’s Mad River Valley remains popular with winter enthusiasts owing to its central location and cozy cottage ambiance. The inn’s nine rooms range greatly in size and amenities; from small, wood-plank, bunk-bed units with shared baths to soft-carpeted, multi-chamber suites with whirlpool baths. The arrangement makes it especially convenient for families, and pets are welcome in rooms with outside entrances. For meals, the on-site restaurant serves hearty American comfort food like meatloaf, ravioli, and prime rib.
