joint that's been in business for 25 years. Hy Vong's downscale ambiance and less-than-speedy service are not what keeps South Florida foodies returning to this dreary part of Calle Ocho; it's the restaurant's much-raved-about authentic Vietnamese fare. The same Vietnamese woman has served as the restaurant's solo cook for 15 years. Hy Vong's Spicy Ribs, Kingfish in Mango Sauce, and Vietnamese coffee make braving frequent hour-long waits more than worthwhile for regulars.
