This dive turns out some of Miami's freshest and most authentic Japanese cooking. A blackboard menu lists specials like locally caught hogfish and tripletail as well as dozens of other kinds of seafood, served grilled, steamed, fried or sashimi-style, along with delicate kabocha squash and chrysanthemum tempura. The atmosphere may be reminiscent of a packed Asian food court, but this is Miami's best place for lovers of regional Japanese delicacies, from mind-blowing pork curry to fried chicken gizzards.
We loved: Tempura-fried whole fish and chrysanthemum flowers.
Insider tip: The wine list is limited; stick to beer.
