Frank
Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry, this New American restaurant is located on the first floor of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). A zigzag bar and a steel installation piece by contemporary artist Frank Stella serve as focal points in the dining room, which is also adorned with etched glass, Douglas fir wood paneling, and colorful acrylic tabletops. The menu incorporates local, seasonal ingredients and may include house-made gnocchi, steak frites, and for brunch, corned beef, bacon, and mixed mushroom hash. Frank also offers a Chagall-inspired lunchtime prix fixe menu and an exclusively Ontarian wine list.

From the From the May 2008 Food & Wine Go List
Located in now-trendy Culver City, Fraîche’s menu is equally influenced by Italy and France; a bowl of hearty chicken in brodo might be followed by pear tartine. Owner Thierry Perez is passionate about his wine list, which has amazing deals, with several selections under $50.
We loved: Ravioli with peas, mint and ricotta; boudin with lentils.
