Fauchon is easily recognizable from its hot pink and black store front. The flagship store on Place de la Madeleine houses a patisserie and boulangerie that sell sandwiches, breads, and desserts; rows of pastries line the gold walls. Eclairs come in decadent flavors such as the Precious Gold: choux pastry shell, salt butter caramel cream, and caramel fondant topped with caramel chunks. Upstairs is the traiteur where products such as fruit, caviar, and cheeses are sold, like the creamy Mistralou goat cheese. Fouchon also carries a selection of pates and terrines, such as the poultry liver pate with madeira wine.
